Your therapist will meet and greet you in the reception area of the clinic. You will fill out a basic information form and then go onto the treatment room together. She/he will ask you a few questions about your health and then leave the room while you prepare for your massage.
If you are getting a table massage you will disrobe to your level of comfort and get under the sheets on the table. Some people prefer to wear underwear, others disrobe entirely. Your therapist will ask you to lay either face down or face up. Therapists are trained to drape sheets discreetly throughout the massage so that you will never be uncomfortably exposed.
Thai massages are done fully clothed. You'll want to wear comfortable clothing that you can stretch in.
Your therapist will leave you to relax for a moment or two on the table or mat before you get dressed. Once dressed you will meet her in the reception area.
You will be very relaxed and it's a good idea not to schedule your day heavily right afterward. Give yourself a few moments to reenter your workday or go home and take a nap!
Payment can be made before or after your session. You may want to reschedule and pay beforehand so you don't have to worry about it afterward.
This is very individual. If you are actively working on an acute issue you may want to come in once a week. For stress relief or chronic tension once every 2 weeks is nice, but once a month is a very typical time frame for regular massage. Your massage therapist can help you decipher how often to come in.
