The Prenatal and Postpartum program at Breathing Light guides women through a fitness routine during pregnancy, and helps women get back into an exercise routine during the postpartum period. The main focus is on helping each woman feel good in her body for each of these wonderful times of life transitions and body changes.

Taught by Pilates instructor Britt Richardson, and personal trainer Richarda Ericson, there is an emphasis on core strength and cardiovascular health. Each program offers women an opportunity to feel fit and strong, as well as a social network for meeting other pregnant women and new mothers.


Prenatal Strength Training Series with Richarda Ericson

This class series focuses on strengthening your body to maintain a healthy, comfortable pregnancy, while helping to prepare you for a quick recovery during the postpartum period. Special attention is given to the muscles that are most affected by your changing body during pregnancy, including shoulders, back and transverse abdominals. Each class begins and ends with exercises to help prevent a separation of the outermost abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) that is common during pregnancy.


Postpartum Strength with Britt Richardson & Richarda Ericson

Did you know that doing 'crunches' after having a baby will not flatten your baby belly? This series focuses on postpartum health, led by Britt Richardson & Richarda Ericson who has expertise in Pilates, strength training and safe and effective abdominal strengthening. You'll get a jumpstart on your postpartum exercise routine, with careful attention to body parts that were affected by pregnancy, such as abdominals, pelvic floor, back and shoulders. A fun group class for new and experienced moms. Nursing newborns welcome, bring a blanket or mat for babies.

A 6-Week Fitness Challenge for moms wanting to flatten their baby belly. The series will combine strength and cardiovascular training, motivating progress logs filled with tips and tricks, buddies to work out with, and knowledgeable, supportive instructors for a get-your-belly-back workout challenge!
